Membership Options

You do NOT have to be a member of England Athletics (EA) to be a member of Totley AC and race as an individual in open races. However, for some league and championship races e.g. the South Yorkshire cross country league and the South Yorkshire athletics road league, you do need to be in EA. You also need to be a member of EA to count as part of a scoring team in these events. The main advantage of being in EA, in addition to being able to compete in the above mentioned events and be part of the Totley team, is the discount that you receive when you enter events. This is typically £2.
Totley AC is your first claim club if it is the ONLY running club that you are a member of. If you are in EA then you will count as part of the Totley team in events affiliated to EA such as the cross country league.
If you are registered with another club then Totley AC will be your second claim club. You can still compete as part of Totley AC unless the race is affiliated to UKA and EA. If the race is affiliated to UKA and EA then you must compete as part of your first claim club. You can't compete as a member of the Totley team.
If you are a first claim member of another running club and you wish to change this to Totley AC, then you must contact the membership secretary of that club. If you are a member of EA you will need to contact them directly to transfer your membership with EA from your old club to Totley AC. You will not be able to compete as part of the Totley team unless this is done. The cost of transfer is £10. Follow this link to do this: Changing first claim status with EA If you have any queries about membership please email - membership@totleyac.org.uk"
Totley AC uses an online card payment provider called Stripe to collect payments. Payments will show on your bank statement as "Stripe" and you will be emailed confirmation of payment.
