Current organised run and training sessions (advance booking essential for all sessions):
  • Monday – Circuits at the Totley Pavilion (7pm to 8pm or Bank Holiday 9am)
  • Tuesday –  various off-road groups running from the Totley Pavilion (6.30pm to 8pm) – beginner, social & medium speed groups. Open to members & non-members. Click here for more info
  • Wednesdays – various track sessions at Woodburn Road (6.45pm to 8.15pm) 
  • Thursday – improvers (running improvement & general fitness sessions) at the Totley Pavilion (6.30pm to 8pm)
  • Thursday – fell run group running from the Totley Pavilion (6.30pm to 8pm)
  • Sunday – 9am morning fell run from various locations in the Peak District

Evening Runs

During the Autumn & Winter on Thursdays our evening runs start closer to the city and are run on the pavements.

During the Autumn & Winter, Thursday runs are from the Wagon and Horses pub at Millhouses or the H S B C Sports & Social Club.
There is also usually a steady head torch run on Thursdays (a fell run in the dark) which starts from different locations in the Peak District – get in touch on our Facebook page for more info.

Over the spring and summer months, we meet at our club hut, the Pavilion in Totley.

We offer medium and steady paced groups. We aim to return to the pavilion after 90 mins and sometimes sooner. We offer road and off-road options on a Thursday thanks to our popular Improvers session.

Sunday Morning Runs

Sunday Morning Runs

9.00 am

We meet on Sunday mornings for a sociable run through the Derbyshire Peak District, meeting at different locations each week of the month. The runs last approximately 90 minutes at a leisurely pace and take in all the fabulous views as you can see from the photos.

The runs are usually followed by a visit to the local cafe for tea ‘n cake.

Baslow – Meet at the pay and display carpark, by the public toilets.( village green), On Google Maps

2nd

Hathersage – Car park opposite the swimming pool. Please be considerate to local people regarding parking and noise.

3rd

Eyam – Car park opposite the museum.

4th

Longshaw – National Trust car park near the Fox House Pub.

Circuit Training

7 pm Monday (9am on Bank Holidays)

Held at our pavilion in Totley and is free to all Totley AC members

Forget that noisy, smelly, claustrophobic room. The outdoors is the best place to get your fix! Maximize your workout – Combine cardiovascular exercise with resistance training. (Bring breakfast on Bank Holidays.)

Totley Tuesdays

Tuesday social group runs – off-road (BST- Spring & Summer) & on-road – (GMT – Autumn & Winter)

6.30pm to 8pm 

During BST (from when the clocks change) our Tuesday evening runs meet at the Totley Pavilion (S17 opposite side of the cricket field to the Cricket Inn) and during GMT (from when the clocks change) we meet at the Hammer & Pincers pub in Bents Green (Sheffield S11 7PW – don’t park in the pub car park!)

These groups are primarily social groups and cater for runners of different speeds and abilities. We’re currently running in groups of 6 and open to members and non-members alike. As usual, non-members are welcome to join our sessions a few times before deciding if they’d like to join. Booking is done manually so if you’re not a member yet you’ll need to get in touch with Chris (the Tuesdays coordinator)

Beginners Group

9.30 am Thursday

Totley Ac work with RunEngland and Front Runner to encourage people to run and be fit. This group is for people who want to start running , improve health and fitness or runners who want to return to club running but are not quite ready.

Anyone wanting to develop running fitness is welcome to join The Millhouses Beginners Group No membership to any club is required and it is FREE.

The session starting at 9.30am every Thursday morning lasts an hour with warm up, fitness drills and a run in Ecclesall Woods. All the activities are led by qualified Running Leaders and a Coach, enabling individuals to work at their own level of fitness and to develop.

Head Torch Runs

6.30 pm Thursday

Over the winter months, to retain a Thursday evening off-road option, we offer a head torch run through the Peak District, meeting at different locations each week.
The calendar is used to confirm the location each week.
The runs last approximately 90 minutes at a leisurely pace. The runs are usually followed by a visit to the local pub. Please bring a head torch, spare batteries (if possible), a spare warm layer, waterproofs, hat/buff/ and gloves.
